This is Luisa Vázquez. I live in Madrid with my daughter Claudia although I was born and grown up in Valencia, by the Mediterranean. I begun this site in May 2010, after retirement, hoping and wishing that more free time eventually would mean more dedication to photography. We’ll see……
I kept a photoblog from September 2005 until May 2009, posting a photo per day from Monday to Friday. The experience was terrific, I got in touch with many people from every corner of the world, and I still keep in touch with some of them. The commitment was also terrific, I learnt a lot of photography just by shooting photos.
After those four years I was completely exhausted, unable to shoot a single more photo, so I finished the blog, retired and went in travel to Asia for three months, which was a good way to cut with my past photographic experience and begin a new one.

Equipment
I know that the picture of the century can be shot with the simplest of the point-and-shoot cameras. But I also know that most of the amateur photographers do care a lot about the gear, sometimes too much. For those, here is an account of the cameras I have used.
- My very first camera, a Zenit E, bought in Moscow in 1969.
- My first Nikon, the FTN Nikon Photomic.
- My second Nikon, the FM2, one of the best cameras ever.
- My first digital, the Nikon Coolpix 5700.
- My first digital reflex, a Nikon D70.
- Then I discovered that there was an affordable full frame camera, the Canon 5D, and I fell in love with it. Lenses: 24-70 f/2.8, 14mm f/2.8, 70-200 f/4 L USM, Zenitar fisheye 16mm f/2.8.
- Out of curiousity I bought a Lomo LC-A which I use from time to time.
- Recently I have fell in love with a Leica M8 which I dreamt with all my life. I shoot street photo with it and three lenses: Leica Elmarit 24mm f/2.8, CV 15mm f/4.5 II, Canon 35mm f/2
Now I live with the hope of not falling in love with another camera because they are going to ruin me.
